Brandon M. Gonyo, PharmD, is an Inpatient Pharmacist and Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2018 and thereafter completed a Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency at St. Peter’s Hospital. Dr. Gonyo’s first experiences with medicine began at a young age, through the management of antibiotics and analgesics for the calves on his family’s dairy farm. Though he eventually progressed from farming to pharmacy, he continued to nurture his enthusiasm for understanding how drugs could effectively treat illness. In his current role, Dr. Gonyo provides care to often complex cardiac and critical care patients at his institution. He strives to assist his patients in understanding the importance of informed decision making, and his colleagues in artfully designing evidence-based therapeutic regimens.
In his free time, Dr. Gonyo enjoys hiking, spending time with family, and watching SNL. He can often be found exploring the outdoors with his Australian Shepherd, Kyra.
