Do we engage in an activity that is going to temporarily make us feel relaxed, but ultimately is exacerbating our strained nervous system’s inclination to function sympathetically – or do we choose an activity that will help our nervous system to truly restore, and recharge. At the end of a long day, we desire to feel rested – and so choosing carefully is important.
